Were you at our seminar at the Orange County Regional Center on March 4th?

Check our Research page for sample Video Modeling videos. The topic was Key Social Skills to Treatment Outcomes: Play and a whole lot more!

"Social skills deficits have long been associated with autism spectrum disorder. However, it has only been recently that we have learned that they play a main function in the success of a treatment program for a child with autism. Not only do these social skills improve the child's treatment and functioning in the present, but our data has shown promising results suggesting that the presence of social skills, or the acquisition of social skills, is associated with better treatment outcome and overall functioning at follow-up, many years after treatment may have ceased, into adulthood. The present workshop will discuss the key social behaviors that should be included in early intervention treatment programs in order to maximize treatment gains and improve follow-up results. The workshop will include state-of-the art treatment procedures that have been empirically verified to increase these key social skills."

A Swingin' Good Time

On November 10th, 2007, Autism Research & Treatment, Inc. teamed up with the Claremont Colleges Lindy Club. By bringing the kind hearts of swing dancers from around South California, and vision of AR&T we ran a spectacular event.

The evening included an 18-piece big-band, some of LA's finest dancers, and a raffle with tons of fun prizes. Thanks to all the volunteers, instructors, and all the students and community members of Claremont who came out and supported autism research.
